Alexis Merizalde Knapp was born on July 31, 1989, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania. She worked as a model before breaking into acting, starting with small roles in Couples Retreat, and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
Alexis hosted a popular internet video series titled Project Lore, and appeared in her first major role in the feature film Project X. Alexis went on to star in the films Vamp U, So Undercover opposite Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne, and Jeremy Piven, Caveman, Urge, and most notably, all three installments of the popular Pitch Perfect franchise.
On the television side, Alexis appeared in the pilot of ABC’s short-lived series Super Fun Night and was a series regular in Ground Floor.
