Joshua David Duhamel was born on November 14, 1972, in Minot, North Dakota. Josh is an American actor and former fashion model. Josh has appeared as one of the main protagonists in four of the Transformer films. Duhamel began his acting career as an extra in the music videos for Donna Summer’s I Will Go With You (Con te partirò) and Christina Aguilera’s Genie in A Bottle in 1999.
His other feature film credits include Love Simon, Think Like a Dog, The Lost Husband, The Show, Safe Haven, Life as we know it, When in Rome, New Years Eve, and many, many more!
In 2015, Duhamel co-starred on the short-lived CBS crime drama Battle Creek. He also starred in a video game, Call of Duty: WWII. His other television credits include Veronica Mars, Unsolved,
LA to Vegas, All My Children, and most notably as a series regular in Las Vegas, as well as many other shows! His mother, Bonny L., is a retired high school teacher, and the Executive Director of Minot’s Downtown Business & Profession Association, and his father, Larry Duhamel, is an advertisement salesman. Josh has three younger sisters: Ashlee, McKenzee, and Kassidy. His ancestry is German, and smaller amounts of Norwegian, French-Canadian, English, Irish, and Austrian (his last name is very common among Francophones in the world). Before his acting career, the football player studied biology and earned his Bachelor’s degree at Minot State University with the intention of pursuing dentistry.
